This is an amusing clip from Sunday's episode of Family Guy. It's one of those pop culture flashbacks that the show does and has Chris Matthews and his giant head, talking over and interrupting his guest just like he does in real life. Special bonus: an appearance by someone from That 70s Show!

I have to admit I haven't seen any of Total Drama Action. It's a show I often include in my What's On Tonight picks, but I just haven't caught up with it yet. From this recap/preview below, it looks like fun, sort of a weird Cartoon Network version of Survivor, with a few other reality shows mixed in too. The season finale airs this Thursday at 9PM.
If you're like me, when you hear the name Martha Stewart you think of football. Now those two things are coming together in a new contest.
Martha and NBC have teamed up for Martha's Sunday Night Football Sweepstakes, a contest where, if you win the grand prize, you get a trip to New York City, a stay in a hotel, $100 in spending money, and you get to attend a live taping of Martha Stewart or Football Night in America. Runner up prizes include Martha's new book Dinner at Home and autographed footballs.
So, in last night's episode of Heroes, one of the original cast members was killed off. In slow motion! Fans might think that there's a chance he could come back because characters come back on this show all the time, but producer Tim Kring says that this is final.
And now it looks like it might not be the only permanent death on the show.
I don't know how many people will miss TNT's Raising The Bar. It was one of those shows that you never really heard people talking about - fans or critics - even though it had a pretty high-profile cast, including Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Jane Kaczmarek. The 2008 premiere actually grabbed over 7.7 million viewers, but that number dropped 50% for the second season premiere, so the writing was on the wall.
TNT has canceled the legal drama. There are still a few episodes that haven't aired yet and they will probably be shown sometime in early 2010.
We aren't getting too many promos for the last season of Lost from ABC (and zero new footage), but this promo from Spain is pretty damn cool. It's hard to see if there's any new footage (I don't think there is), but it's very well done.

It's funny how there are some weeks where there's 20 or so different DVD sets released but I won't see any sets that I want. And then there are weeks like this when there are only a handful of DVDs being released but I somehow want two or three of them.
The new Mystery Science Theater 3000 set (with The Corpse Vanishes, Warrior of the Lost World, Night of the Blood Beast, Santa Claus, two shorts, four lobby cards, and a collectible Tom Servo figurine) is a definite, and I might get Better Off Ted too, though I want to watch a few more episodes before I make up my mind.

I've been watching Judge Judy again. I used to watch it years ago, but then I went through a long period (years) when I thought she was too mean, too full of herself, too impatient with the litigants. Sometimes it seems that she's already sick of them before she even sits down.
But I started watching it again a few months ago and I love it again. I agree with her attitude now. Most of the people who go in front of her (both plaintiffs and defendants) usually get themselves into situations they shouldn't be in and they have no sense. And you wonder why they even want to be on TV in the first place, airing their dirty laundry.
But if you do find yourself on the show, here are five tips to make it a better experience.
1. Speak up. If you mumble she'll think you're dumb and/or hiding something. And she's probably right.
We were told several weeks ago that a major character was going to be killed off of Heroes soon. Of course, Heroes has a way of killing off characters and then they come back in one way or another: didn't really die, saved by time travel, had a twin, another person takes over their body, etc, etc. But this major character's death is going to be permanent, and it happens in tonight's episode, "The Fifth Stage."
